Rema Says To The Benin Youths, “I Have So Much In Store For You.”

Date:

After making a huge breakthrough in the Nigerian and international music scenes, award-winning afrobeats musician Daniel Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, has pledged to give back to the younger generation.

Rema made this revelation while visiting Godwin Obaseki, the governor of his state, at Government House in Benin City, Edo State.

The musician disclosed that he was able to export Benin culture through his artistic creations while playing on a global scale.

It’s time to take action for the younger generation,” he said. All I want to do is act. In the music industry, I’ve been successful. I went to perform on a worldwide platform and brought Benin with me Come to the city with me. I did my best to represent my culture while carrying the city on my shoulders and back.

The government is going to take action, but it’s also time for young people to step up and take action, retrain themselves, and have the courage to embrace new laws for the advancement that includes both the entertainment sector and the community at large.”

Thanks to the Edo State people for their support throughout his musical career, Rema expressed his gratitude to the governor for showing concern for the state’s youth.

The lunch was fantastic and we covered a lot of important topics, particularly his program for the youth,” he stated. Witnessing a governor who is concerned about the future is quite lovely. He acts not just for his eight years in office, but also for the future.

The State’s youth have a wide range of opportunities at their disposal. If not for the Nigerian young, I never would have been here. They are the people I live for and am a part of, the ones I motivate and inspire. They stand for the generation that comes after.

Obaseki, on his part, pledged to support upcoming musicians in the state so they could successfully compete with peers across the globe.

Obaseki stated, “He’s here for a private lunch.” We had an opportunity to catch up and speak with him. He’s never been here since I became governor. Just as I was about to take office as governor, Rema left Edo. It’s nice to see him again following a six-year hiatus.

We have the opportunity to tell him about our successes and our enthusiasm for assisting young people in the entertainment, artistic, and cultural domains. We’ve begun discussions with him regarding a historic art project for this part of the country and city.
