Alex Asogwa, a.k.a. Alex Unusual, a former Big Brother Naija star, has finally addressed the claim that he had an affair with Nigerian comedian AY Makun.
After being missing from social media since March, Alex posted her debut video on Tuesday on her X page.
She described the abuse she encountered while she was gone, adding that she felt obligated to remain silent in order to come out on top, but that she now want to reverse that decision.
Alex referred to Nigeria’s cybersecurity laws in her gentle denial of the accusations, even though she did not explicitly address them.
‘I’ll take the high road on this,’ she writes as the video’s description on my own terms.
She surprised a lot of people by creating and directing a brief film that she shared online, explaining how she removed her social networking apps.
She disclosed that she was under constant pressure to chose silence and to be the greater person, but that she now wanted to put a stop to it by speaking up.
Alex read out the cybersecurity laws of Nigeria and gently refuted the claims, without explicitly addressing them.
She promised to let the law take its course against those who continue to abuse her online while also reminding many people that she is a real person and that everything they say affects her.
