The announcement was made public on the Instagram page of filmmaker Stanley Nwoko, also known as Stanley Ontop. He said the actress passed away on June 16, a Sunday.
Stanley Ontop reported that the actress, who gained notoriety for her cinematic representations of moms, died after a protracted illness with leg cancer.
He commented, ‘Nollywood actress and veteran Mrs. Stella Ikwuegbu is dead,’ confirming the news. Today,
the seasoned actress departed from this life following a battle with leg cancer.

Additionally, broadcaster Ijele Ozioma shared the actress’s passing on Facebook.
