Following the court’s decision on Thursday, the Kano State government has stated that Muhammadu Sanusi’s Emir of Kano continues to hold that position.
This comes right after the state commissioner of police received an order from the government to remove Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, from the Gidan Nassarawa tiny palace so that it could be demolished.
The directive was given to reporters at the government house by the state’s attorney general and commissioner of justice,
Haruna Isa Dederi, together with Baffa Bichi, secretary to the state government.

Dederi stated that since the government has already made plans for the general rehabilitation and renovation of the site, including the demolition of existing structures,
