In addition to issuing the directive, Justice Aliyu trained security forces to refrain from detaining or intimidating the emir and his kingmakers.
The magistrate declared: ‘An order therefore granted a temporary prohibition prohibiting the parties in controversy from intimidating or harassing anyone else, either directly or through their representatives, assigns, privies, agents, or other representatives.

The order of interim injunction is hereby made to prevent the Respondents from taking any further action in relation to the matter or to maintain the status quo of stopping all activity until the hearing and determination of the application on notice.
‘Furthermore, it is ordered that the Respondents refrain from interfering with the Applicant’s functions and duties as the Emir of Kano until after the hearing and the decision made on notice dated May 28, 2024.’
The hearing on the notice motion is postponed until June 13, 2024.
Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, was ordered to leave the Nassarawa small palace by Justice Aliyu, according to a Viztadaily publication on Monday.
