Osimhen’s move to Chelsea comes after Napoli’s big loss.

Recent updates on Chelsea’s transfers, including one that could provide the Blues a major boost with the signing of Victor Osimhen’s from Napoli, After Napoli’s 3-0 Serie A loss to Verona over the weekend, Chelsea appears to have benefited from the transfer of Victor Osimhen.

Romelu Lukaku is going the other way, but the Italian team is still eager on him making a permanent exit. The Blues have already had discussions over Osimhen’s possible loan signing.

Despite showing up for preseason training, the Nigerian international was kept out of the Napoli team for a friendly match against Girona, and the same decision was made when Napoli defeated Modena in the Coppa Italia.

Not unexpectedly, he was not included in the squad that began Napoli’s Serie A campaign on Saturday.

Paris Saint-Germain has, similar to Chelsea, been closely connected to the 25-year-old, but they won’t pay the amount he’s asking for.

A serious injury to Goncalo Ramos might make things slightly different, as PSG might now require a new striker. But, a big sale must happen first, and the Portugal international might have been the one to give up in order to make that happen.

And now Osimhen’s future may be affected by yet another injury, which would be a huge advantage for the Blues.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was used as the false nine in place of Osimhen during Napoli’s 3-0 loss this past weekend, but he was removed shortly before halftime.

The Georgia international appeared uncomfortable after colliding with Pawel Dawidowicz, and after receiving treatment on the field, he was eventually taken off the field.

How ever Although it is unlikely to be a big deal, his absence might cause Antonio Conte further problems and intensify their pursuit of Lukaku.

The Belgium international’s worth is at £32 million (€40 million) after the most recent bid was turned down by those at Stamford Bridge.

That position might change, though, if Napoli also concedes to Osimhen’s requests to approve a loan move or drop their asking price.

Chelsea is still interested in Osimhen, and their chase is anticipated to continue in the closing days of the transfer window, regardless of how that plays out.

Since earlier this week, an agreement that will also enable Conor Gallagher to finalize his transfer to Atletico Madrid has been reached, all attention has been focused on completing a move for Joao Felix.
