The suspect in Glory Adekolure’s death, a University of Benin graduate (UNIBEN), has been apprehended, according to the Edo State Police Command.
Adekolure was reported to have left for school on June 13, 2024, in preparation for her final clearing; nevertheless, her body was discovered behind a tree on a street in Benin City’s Iyowa Community, not far from her home.

Fifteen days following the demise of Adekolure, the suspect was captured in Asaba, Delta State.
The suspect admitted to killing Adekolure and at least eight other young ladies, according to Funsho Adegboye, the commissioner of police for Edo State, during a Saturday interview that our correspondent saw.
It gives me great pleasure to notify the good people of Edo State and the good people of The University of Benin’s 22-year-old Glory Adekolure was killed, and her attacker has been captured in Nigeria.
Asaba, Delta state, is where he was captured. Because of the meticulous investigations conducted by our anti-kidnapping and cybercrime section,
he was apprehended and admitted to the murders of eight other women who were identical to Glory Adekolure. He fled after killing Glory, knowing that we were pursuing him.
Police are currently looking into the incident, according to Adegboye, who also stated that the suspect has not yet been paraded.
