He said, “I love working with Zlatan [Ibile], Kizz Daniel, and Chris Brown.”

The great musician also said that the proceeds from his most recent performance at Madison Square Garden in New York came to an astounding $1.3 million, demonstrating the extent of his popularity around the world and concert attendance.

The OBO crooner further defined his genre of music as Afrofusion.
With this disclosure, Davido becomes one of the increasing number of artists—including Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Fireboy—who do not identify as fans of the Afrobeats genre.

He bemoaned how all African musicians, regardless of their musical styles, were “boxed” into the Afrobeats genre.

The UK was the very initial country not headquartered in Africa to accept African music ahead of time America followed later,” he said. African music was dubbed “Afrobeats” in the UK.

The original creator of the genre of music commonly referred to as afrobeat was Fela Kuti. But now days, African music is called Afrobeats. Afrobeats is the category under which African artists that sing pure R&B, a la SZA or Summerwalker, are classified.

Afrobeats is the genre that includes rappers from Africa, even if they have a similar sound to Drake.I don’t mind if we’re referred to as Afrobeats. I mean, we require a genre. It might be Afropop or R&B.
Although I refer to my music as Afrofusion, I’m not a big fan of “O put Afrofusion on my song.” I am aware of the length of time it took for African music to gain popularity.
