Following their recent social media spat, music executive Don Jazzy and Afrobeats megastar Wizkid have put an end to any rumors of falling out.
This is in response to Don Jazzy’s public praise of Wizkid following his recommendation of Ayra Starr’s upcoming ‘The Year I Turned 21’ further investigation album.
On his X Twitter, Wizkid gave the album his endorsement. It was launched on Friday.
Wizkid posted the album cover and streaming link along with the statement, ‘Super talented [romantic relationships and majestic bird emojis].’
Wizkid tweeted something, and Don Jazzy reposted it with the words, ‘Thanks Big Wiz [eagle emoji].’
According to the DAILY POST, Wizkid disparaged Don Jazzy after his signee Ladipoe appeared to make fun of him in an X post for saying that ‘hip hop is dead.’
Wizkid responded to a fan alerting him to the post, writing, ‘Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer.’ Afterwards.
Additionally, he retweeted two comments that seemed to suggest he called Don Jazzy, the head of Mavin Records, an influencer.
Social media went crazy after Wizkid made a veiled jab at Don Jazzy. Many well-known people, such as the producers of the skits, Mr. Macaroni and Nasboi, and reality stars Tacha and Doyin, chastised him for ‘disrespecting’ the Mavin boss.
