After an armed robbery at the Sunshine State Buildings Estates resulted in the untimely death of Brigadier General Uwem Harold Udokwere (rtd.),
on June 22, 2024, at around three in the morning, the Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, ordered an immediate,
in-depth, and covert investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident happened,’ a spokeswoman for the command stated.
‘CP Benneth Igweh, psc, mni, offers the bereaved family her sincere condolences and assures the public and family that prompt justice will be served,
with every effort being made to ensure that those responsible for the heinous act are apprehended and brought to justice.’
In addition, the commissioner of police reiterates the command’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the security environment in the nation’s capital by consistently modifying tactics to successfully counteract changing criminal activity.
