The Christ Embassy Church headquarters on Kudirat Abiola Way in Ikeja, Lagos, was destroyed by a roaring fire early on Sunday morning,
destroying property valued at several million naira.

Witnesses report that the fire broke out at approximately eight in the morning and was quickly put out by Lagos State,
Fire and Rescue Service and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA).
Thankfully, the incident resulted in no fatalities.
Worshippers who had assembled for the customary Sunday service began to flee in search of shelter.
The Lagos Fire and Rescue Service’s Margaret Adeseye, the director,
verified the event and asked worshippers and worried neighbors to maintain their composure because the fire had been put out by 10 am.
We still don’t know what started the fire.
According to Adeseye, ‘This is to inform Lagos residents to remain composed. As of the moment,
the fire at the Christ Embassy Church headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, is contained.
There have been no reported fatalities as of the time of this report. We are on the ground, making sure that people and property are safe.
Although it is still burning, it is contained. While the rescue effort proceeds, let’s maintain our composure.
