Governor Siminalayi Fubara faces the possibility of being impeached again by the Rivers State House of Assembly for allegedly, continuing to violate the Nigerian constitution.

Yesterday, Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Martins Amaewhule, accused the governor of being dishonest in a statement to reporters in Port Harcourt.
Following the briefing, a communiqué was given out by Amaewhule, who was accompanied by 26 members of the Assembly.
The governor was charged by the parliamentarians of not living up to his commitment to uphold the terms of the Presidential Peace Accord, which he “voluntarily signed without coercion.”
