The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has introduced a 20 percent increase in the salaries of civil servants within the mainstream public service.

Others who will enjoy the new shape that takes effect on January 1, 2023, include those in neighborhood authorities regions, neighborhood council improvement regions, and the State Universal Basic Education Board.

This changed into disclosure in an announcement with the help of the Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, on Monday. The announcement read, “Furthermore, kindly notice that the arrears for the month of January 2023 could be paid along with salaries for the month of March, even as the arrears for the month of February 2023 could be paid collectively with the month of April 2023.
