Applications for BMT are now being accepted by the NAF for airmen and women.

Applying now for the 2024 airmen and airwomen basic military training course is open to qualified Nigerians, according to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Bakari of the Chief of Air Staff stated in a statement on Wednesday that candidates should only submit one online application as repeated submissions will be rejected.

Bakari advised printing the acknowledgment form, the consent form from parents or guardians, and the local government attestation form following completion of the online application.

He suggested that a military officer or the head of the local administration should sign the documents.

As to the statement, candidates must be citizens of Nigeria by birth and have either a BVN or National Identity Card (NIN).

The minimum height requirements for applicants are 1.66 meters for men and 1.63 meters for women.

‘Candidates must be physically, fit both mentally and physically. The candidates should not have had any prior criminal convictions from a court of law.

The speaker stated that individuals who are not craftsmen or ladies must be between the ages of 18 and 22. Those who were born prior to September 20, 2003 are not eligible.

According to him, candidates need to have earned at least five credits in WAEC, NECO, GCE, and NABTEB, including English and mathematics, in no more than two sittings.

Those who were born before September 20, 2000, are ineligible, he stated, adding that tradesmen and women must be between the ages of 18 and 25.

According to Bakari, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 28 to be considered for positions as chaplains, imam assistants, drivers, or mechanics.

Candidates who were born with the aforementioned places not eligible if they were born before September 20, 1997.

‘Applicants with ND/NCE must have at least lower credit from recognized universities and must have earned at least five credits in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB in no more than two (2) sittings, including English and Mathematics,’ the statement read.

According to the air vice marshal, candidates must have trade test certifications if they are applying for jobs in construction technology, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, mechanic, driving, painting, and other trades.

Also, they must have at least two passes in the English language component of the WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB.

A valid practicing license and an ND from accredited Nigerian colleges are prerequisites for admission to career paths related to medicine.

Applications in sports must include certifications and awards as proof of experience.

From August 21 until October 2, 2024, people can register online. Commencing on October 8, 2024, is the general aptitude exam for zonal recruitment.

According to him, there are no costs associated with any of the NAF’s registration or hiring procedures, and there is never a need for payment.

Just in: The court upheld Philip Shaibu as Edo's deputy governor.

Philip Shaibu was reinstated as the deputy governor of Edo state by a federal high court, and this decision was upheld by the court of appeals located in Abuja.

In a decision on Tuesday, the court rejected the appeal that the Edo State House of Assembly had filed in an attempt to maintain Shaibu’s impeachment as the deputy governor of the state.

After the house approved the report of the seven-member investigating team, the impeachment process was started.

The panel was established by Chief Judge Daniel Okungbowa of Edo and is led, by retired Justice S. A. Omonuwa.

‘Misconduct, perjury, and disclosure of government secrets’ were the charges brought against Shaibu.

Prior to his impeachment, Shaibu had a falling out with the state’s governor, Godwin Obaseki.

On appeal, the deputy governor contested his impeachment in the Abuja federal high court.

Trial Judge James Omotosho declared in his July 17 ruling that Shaibu’s impeachment was unlawful.

According to Omotosho, the state house of assembly’s decision to remove Shaibu on April 8 was driven by political considerations.

So, the judge granted his request to be reinstated.

The inspector general of police (IGP) was also given an order by him to promptly reinstate the plaintiff’s security.

Shaibu’s wages and allowances, which were withheld from him upon his impeachment in April, were also mandated by Omotosho.

During an appearance on the podcast “In My Opinion,” Flavour revealed the details.

In his own words, he started out in music as a church drummer and choir leader.

In response to Peter’s accusations of fraud against him and Paul, Jude Okoye, the longtime manager of the now-defunct P-Square group, disclosed the organization’s profit-sharing formula.

He clarified that he, Peter, and Paul divided the profits from P-Square.

He said that he took forty percent and the other two took thirty percent apiece.

Jude Okoye refuted Peter’s claims during a Saturday Instagram live session that he transferred millions of dollars’ worth of P-Square revenues into a personal account.

‘I went to the EFCC office with just Paul,’ he remarked. My lawyer wasn’t there with me. After I handed over all the paperwork, an officer examined it and inquired as to whether Peter had signed it. I indicated his signature For him.

I displayed to him the CAC certifications that were used to launch Northside Entertainment and Square Records.

‘You’re even more than P-Square,’ they said. I replied, ‘I’m not sure what you’re saying.’ They said, ‘Look, you have a forty percent share entitlement, and the two have thirty percent each.” I answered, ‘Well, you can see for yourself; I’m not supposed to say it with my mouth.’

‘There have been numerous attempts to bring Psquare together, but to no effect: Emeka Offor, the late Ifeanyi Uba, Dantata, Atiku, Peter Obi, governors, ministers, our village king, etc.,’ he claimed.

Utomi claimed he had never done business with the administration of Ogun State.

Ibikunle Amosun has come under fire from economist Pat Utomi for allegedly being placed on a blacklist by the Ogun State House of Assembly prior to his appointment as the state’s governor.

Utomi refuted having any commercial dealings with the Ogun State government that would have made him eligible for a blacklist during his appearance as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday.

Why would I have been placed on a blacklist, he asked? Ogun and I have never done business in a way that would have caused them to put me on a whitelist, let alone a blacklist.

I don’t conduct any business at all with state governments due to policy reasons. The sole occasion where it would become essential in the context of land issues, as the government in Nigeria is the only entity with jurisdiction over land issues.

Why was I put on a blacklist by the House of Assembly? For what reason? It was the first time I had ever transacted business with Ogun State.

I was shocked to hear that for the first time in my life and it makes me wonder how public officials can accuse me of such ridiculous things. For what reason, if any, was I placed on a blacklist?

In response to Utomi’s claim that he had broken the terms of the contract with respect to the canceled agreement with the Chinese company Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, Amosun called the professor “entitled.’

Before he did, Amosun was answering Utomi’s claim about a shelved Ogun agriculture-related project taken up residence in office.

But in response, Utomi stated on Monday that he has never done business with the administration of Ogun State.

Utomi continued her speech by criticizing Nigeria for having a ‘unnecessary’ jet fleet and stating that the planes were seized.

Sincerely, I had no idea what caused the seizure when I initially learned about it.
