He said, “I love working with Zlatan [Ibile], Kizz Daniel, and Chris Brown.”

The great musician also said that the proceeds from his most recent performance at Madison Square Garden in New York came to an astounding $1.3 million, demonstrating the extent of his popularity around the world and concert attendance.

The OBO crooner further defined his genre of music as Afrofusion.
With this disclosure, Davido becomes one of the increasing number of artists—including Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Fireboy—who do not identify as fans of the Afrobeats genre.

He bemoaned how all African musicians, regardless of their musical styles, were “boxed” into the Afrobeats genre.

The UK was the very initial country not headquartered in Africa to accept African music ahead of time America followed later,” he said. African music was dubbed “Afrobeats” in the UK.

The original creator of the genre of music commonly referred to as afrobeat was Fela Kuti. But now days, African music is called Afrobeats. Afrobeats is the category under which African artists that sing pure R&B, a la SZA or Summerwalker, are classified.

Afrobeats is the genre that includes rappers from Africa, even if they have a similar sound to Drake.I don’t mind if we’re referred to as Afrobeats. I mean, we require a genre. It might be Afropop or R&B.
Although I refer to my music as Afrofusion, I’m not a big fan of “O put Afrofusion on my song.” I am aware of the length of time it took for African music to gain popularity.

Relationship and Romance: Understanding the Difference

Depending on the nature of the connection, a relationship without romance may be described as companionate, pragmatic, or platonic. In these kinds of relationships, companionship, common interests, and support for one another take precedence over sentimental declarations of love.

Does Romance Mean Relationship?

Although romance and relationships are frequently linked, they are not the same thing. Romance does not define a relationship; rather, it is an expression of love and affection inside a partnership. A wider variety of emotional, social, and occasionally formal connections between people are included in relationships.

Recognize What’s Important to Your Partner

Fostering a fulfilling relationship requires knowing your partner’s needs, preferences, and love language. Romantic gestures are important to some people, whereas acts of service, quality time, or vocal affirmations are important to others. Spend some time figuring out what your partner’s preferred language is for showing affection.

Establishing mutual respect and a climate of compromise can be greatly facilitated by understanding what matters most to your spouse. Conversely, it’s critical that you communicate your desires to your partner and that they understand you. Giving to others without considering your own needs will only lead to bitterness and rage.

Learn how to maintain your relationships with give and take.

Mutual respect and compromise are essential ingredients for successful relationships. It is important for both parties to be open to giving and receiving, realizing that mutual growth and harmony in the relationship need some degree of compromise. Finding common ground and settling disputes require effective communication and empathy.

Don’t make ”winning your goal

If you approach someone thinking you have to have your way or else, it will be difficult to reach a compromise. This attitude can sometimes be the result of years of building animosity in a relationship that has reached a breaking point, or it can be the result of not having your needs met when you were younger. Although it’s acceptable to have strong opinions, your spouse should also be given a voice. Be mindful of other people’s viewpoints.

Learn how to respectfully resolve conflict

Any relationship will inevitably encounter conflict, but for it to endure, both parties must feel as though they have been heard. Maintaining and strengthening the relationship is the aim rather than winning.
Verify that you are fighting fairly. Remember the matter at hand, show consideration for the other person. Never argue over things that are unchangeable.

Keep Physical Intimacy Alive

For many couples, the core of romance is physical connection. Rekindling desire and strengthening the link between couples can be achieved by making an effort to maintain the spark through affectionate contact, hugging, or closeness, even though it may come and go over time. Maintaining physical connection can be exciting and novel by trying out new things or delving into each other’s wants.

A devoted relationship is typically built on sex. It might be a really fulfilling and intimate experience, and it could also be a great way to maintain or improve your physical, mental, and emotional health. However, many couples find it difficult to talk about sex, especially when sex-related problems come up. Embarrassment, humiliation, and hurt are common emotions that can interfere with physical closeness and drive you apart.

Whatever the problems you’re having, there are several actions you can do to enjoy more satisfying sex and get your sex life back on track. Talking about a problem like erectile dysfunction, for instance, might be challenging. However, there are other options. It’s also critical to keep in mind that there should be other forms of physical closeness in a relationship besides sex. Regular, loving contact such as holding hands, giving hugs, and kissing can be just as significant.

Naturally, it’s critical to pay attention to your partner’s preferences. It’s precisely what you don’t want when the other person becomes uptight and retreats in response to unwanted touching or inappropriate advances. This can depend on how effectively you and your partner express your needs and goals, just like it can with so many other elements of a happy relationship.

Stay Connected Through Communication

Any successful collaboration must have open and honest communication as its foundation. Communicate your feelings and opinions to your partner on a regular basis, and pay attention to their worries. Couples that communicate well are able to overcome obstacles and develop their relationship by fostering emotional connection and building trust.

Communicate your needs to your partner; don’t leave them in the dark.

It’s not always simple to express your needs. First of all, a lot of us don’t think through our relationships or take the time to consider what’s most important to us. Furthermore, discussing your needs can leave you feeling exposed, uncomfortable, or even ashamed, even if you are aware of what they are. However, consider it from your partner’s perspective. It is a joy, not a burden, to offer consolation and understanding to someone you care about.

If you've been dating for a while, you might think your partner knows you and your needs rather well. But your lover cannot read minds. It is much healthier to communicate your wants directly, even when your partner might have some idea to keep everything clear.

You may not require what your partner senses, even though they may sense something. Furthermore, individuals change, so things that you required and desired five years ago might not be the same things that you need and want today. Therefore, develop the habit of telling your partner exactly what you need from them rather than allowing resentment, misunderstandings, or rage to fester when they consistently get things wrong.

Spend Quality Time Face to Face

It’s simple to become engrossed in work, technology, and other distractions in today’s fast-paced environment. Make a conscious effort to avoid distractions and spend quality time with your mate. Make time for meaningful interactions that deepen your relationship and provide enduring memories, whether that means cooking together, taking a walk, or just spending time together.

Relationship and Romance

Many couples discover that their early days of face-to-face communication gradually give way to rushed texts, emails, and instant conversations. While there are many uses for digital communication, it doesn’t have the same beneficial effects on the brain and nervous system as face-to-face conversation. It’s wonderful to tell your lover you love them by text or voicemail, but if you don’t often even if you take the time to sit down with them, they will still feel as though you don’t value or comprehend them.

Additionally, as a relationship, you’ll grow more aloof or distant. It is crucial to make time for each other, despite how hectic life may seem, because in person communication is the only way for you to receive the emotional cues needed to feel appreciated.

Pick an activity that the two of you like doing together, such as a daily stroll, dancing class, morning coffee, or a shared interest.

Together, try something different. Engaging in novel activities as a group can foster camaraderie and maintain interest. It could be as easy as checking out a new restaurant or taking a day trip to somewhere you’ve never gone.

Put your attention on enjoying each other. In the initial phases of their relationship, couples are frequently more carefree and lively. But often this easygoing mindset can be forgotten when life’s challenges start to get in the way or old grievances start to fester. It’s true that having a sense of humor can make difficult situations easier to handle, less stressful, and facilitate problem solving. Think of simple ways to surprise your partner, like calling ahead to reserve a seat at their favorite restaurant or delivering flowers home. Reconnecting with your playful side can also be facilitated by playing with tiny children or dogs.

Always keep in mind that every relationship is different, so figure out what suits you and your partner the best, and treasure your bond.

Bwala objects to the EFCC chair’s Yahaya Bello news briefing.

1
Bwala EFCC chair's Yahaya Bello

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, has come under fire from attorney and public affairs expert Daniel Bwala for its accusations made against former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello.

Bwala, a candidate for president of the Peoples Democratic Party in the general elections of 2023, criticized the agency’s “trial by media” strategy.

Bwala & the EFCC chair’s Yahaya Bello

In response to the EFCC chairman Olanipekun Olukoyede’s recent press briefing, the attorney charged that the commission’s head was holding public talks that resembled courtroom trials in which media representatives serve as the judge and jury.
Bwala added, “What happened yesterday was like a prosecutor in court doing his opening address in the view of prosecuting,” during an appearance on Arise TV’s morning show today the issue. And yesterday, who was the judge? The journalists were the ones responsible.

Yahaya Bello is not need to present his own case in order to enjoy the same opportunity. Thus, it might be referred to as a full-scale media trial.

This is only one of the several reasons why people frequently wonder if the commission is indeed planning to bring charges or if it is merely providing a covert way for the defendant to escape punishment.

“Because this same issue has always been present in the EFCC’s prosecution strategy, which has resulted in a great deal of high-profile cases going too far.

For instance, if you conducted a forensic study of his remarks during yesterday’s news conference, a reasonable person in our society would conclude that was written with the intention of providing Yahaya Bello with a way out.

How come I said that? First off, there is no jury in Nigerian trials. A jury trial is not the same as a trial by the press. Two, he has surrendered to the court’s jurisdiction by filing a charge with the proof that he was given an order of substitution and that he served Yahaya Bello via his attorney. Was it really necessary to call a meeting and start debating the specifics of the charge?

Three, he made certain remarks yesterday that have stoked doubts and given Yahaya Bello more reason to assert that he won’t seek justice because he is being persecuted.

Alternatively, let I will tell you one or two things. He stated in the press yesterday that he respected and gave Yahaya Bello a special privilege. Bobrisky was not granted the same privilege. Other people were not granted the same privilege.

“The EFCC’s protocol is to write to you unless they alter it. Because it hinges on the requirement that the accused be asked for an investigation prior to the start of a trial, there will be documentation supporting your invitation.

As recently as yesterday, he even said that we may charge him without even getting his statement. This indicates that you’ve already completed the necessary tasks. So why is it that they insist on arresting him?

“And when that happens You let the press know that you said, “Okay, you come through the back. I’ll make sure you come to my office. The operators and investigators will then come to my office, and they will conduct an investigation.”

According to Bwala, Olukoyede’s remarks imply that the EFCC chairman has been violating the anti-graft commission’s protocols.

He charged that the chairman of the EFCC had created a story about the former governor Bello by utilizing the media rather than the legal system.

Instead of going to journalists, he questioned the EFCC further about when it would start criminal trials to get the defendant convicted.

You’re really trying to say a component of as chairman, you may disregard the rules and boundaries that you set, he stated. Do all of you Do those invited to that commission have the same benefits? Is the basic idea that no one is above the law and that all people are equal before it being applied now?

He then continued discussing the content of the charge sheet. What then was he genuinely attempting to accomplish? In order for the media to fabricate a story about the judge being bought off or the lack of support for the EFCC in the event that the charges are ultimately dropped, he wants to convict Yahaya Bello in front of the public.

“You cannot succeed in any country in the world by following that path.” There is only one way to challenge the energy. Regretfully, the EFCC decided to do it via the media as opposed to going to court.

Bwala urged the EFCC to follow Bello’s order, reiterating that it hasn’t been overturned by the court.

He stated, ” In accordance to the order, he wasn’t supposed to be detained or charged.

EFCC doesn’t think that order deserves to be experienced, he said. The EFCC contested the ruling. The court has not made a decision regarding that challenge.

“Now that you’re trying to arrest him before that’s been decided, could you please assist me in asking Nigerian Law School students what the legal interpretation of that would be?

“They also have another order to arrest him, but that order hasn’t been presented in court, where the case was deferred for counterarguments. a decision. What does that mean, exactly?

Thus, you have a coalition of judicial voices, and the courts that issued the different orders are courts of coordinate jurisdiction, meaning that the rulings of one order do not affect the outcome of the others. Therefore, we won’t even discuss how the federal supreme court handles this form of conflicting order administration.

Until they are revoked, all of these orders remain in effect. However, as you can see, they have all been eclipsed by the happenings since the matter was adjourned before this court to await a decision.

Bwala went on to accuse the EFCC of manipulating Nigerians’ emotions in the former governor Bello’s case.

He demanded anti-corruption reforms commission, pointing out that the actual prosecution is not the focus of the EFCC but rather media attention and drama.

Now, the court issued an order for substituted service through Yahaya Bello’s attorney, Adeola Adedipe S.A.N., yesterday,” he stated. Additionally, Adeola Adedipe S.A.N. was adamantly stating in court that there had been no invitation or order of arrest prior to the attack, invasion, and issuance of an arrest warrant for Yahaya Bello. And before his client could appear in court, he wanted that arrest warrant revoked.

What will you be watching next in this drama? should appear in court, not in the media, as this is the appropriate venue for the case to be heard. not in the press. What do you anticipate happening next?

The two things that need to be understood are that an arrest order has been challenged in court and has been postponed until a decision is made. After today, the EFCC is not expected to be pursuing Yahaya Bello in any capacity.

Even if he is ambling in front of their headquarters, they are not permitted to take him into custody because the case is now pending in court and has been postponed for a decision.

“Two, Yahaya Bello has requested that the warrant of arrest be revoked due to the fact that events have taken precedence over it now that I’ve been served. Also, on the next postponed date, it is only possible to ask the court to issue a bench warrant if I fail to appear.

However, now that I’ve been served, I have to read the charges in advance of my arraignment under the law. Arresting me would therefore be a violation of my right to prepare and appear for my defense.

Thus, the request that the arrest order be revoked has not been approved or denied because the matter has been postponed until a decision is made.

Students at law schools are taught that in cases when these two facts are known, the party in question must preserve the status quo while the court considers all applications and objections.

“If the court rules on that day that Since you are in front of me already, your plea to revoke this arrest order has been superseded by the event. Alright, that’s alright. There will inevitably be a request for a bench warrant to be issued since you have not appeared for your arrest if the court decides that since you are not before me on that particular day, this order to arrest will need to be prolonged, even if you throw away. You go to trial if the judge sets it aside.

It indicates that the coin’s worth is retained on both sides, regardless of which way it is flipped. If the coin is worth ten naira, it will always be worth ten naira regardless of its two sides. Ten kobo, that is. In the event that the coin’s worth drops from 10 to 5 Kobo, you can now start examining the unique qualities of its two sides.

This is where we now are, and I don’t want to discuss whether this application will be granted or denied because that is a decision best left to the court. However, we do know that in cases where parties have consented to the court’s jurisdiction, they are required to uphold the status quo while awaiting the court’s decision.

Therefore, if the EFCC keeps pursuing him, it will support the idea that the organization is more interested in drama and the media than than the real prosecution, as you’ve discovered that he has been served with your charge.

As the prosecution, what are you expected to do? The day following arraignment, you are expected to get ready and submit your open address or request a trial date. This is how things actually are.

“He shot himself with a variety of gunshots during the media interview he gave yesterday, making it very evident to the world that their ideals are being applied disproportionately.

“The first one, which I already told you about, is that you should enter my office through the back door and I’ll arrange for someone to interview you; nobody understands that. Additionally, the law is that no one is above the law and that everyone is equal before it.

You’ve seen how determinedly he needs to be taken into custody. People will now respond, “But there are other cases like this before you for which you have even given a preliminary report of indictment, but you haven’t arrested the person,” if you question them.

According to LEADERSHIP, although one side of the debate maintains that the nation’s centralized police system is insufficient to handle the current state of insecurity in the nation, the other side is concerned that governors may utilize it as a tool to harass their rivals.

At the one-day National Dialogue on State Policing, Vice President Kashim Shettima introduced the theme, “Pathways to Peace: Reimagining Speaking at the Abuja Continental Hotel, “Policing in Nigeria,” President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening security throughout Nigeria and reforming the Nigeria Police Force.

He noted that the concept of state policing was more than just a proposal for policy; rather, it was a possible turning point in the development of the country’s legal system, one that would allow law enforcement to be tailored to the specific needs of communities all around the nation.

Shettima stated that the Tinubu government is always creating and improving its plans and techniques to properly handle the complicated, security challenges that Nigeria faces in a statement provided by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha.

announcing the president’s intention to The vice president stated, “The administration of President Tinubu is steadfastly committed to reforming the police force and enhancing security at both the national and state levels. This will change the narrative surrounding national security.”

All of us see today’s conversations’ results as fundamental inputs which will influence the actions taken by the government regards restructuring the police organization and establishing a greater sense of security in Nigeria.
Shettima urged attendees of the National Dialogue on State Policing to consider state policing from a variety of perspectives, noting that the President should be commended for his willingness to be transparent and aggressive in promoting the idea of decentralizing and reforming the police force.
Let’s examine the effects of state policing from a variety of angles as we deliberate. We have to assess its capacity to enhance accountability, adjust to particular local circumstances, and expedite emergency response times. Simultaneously, we need to tackle issues with monitoring, civil liberties protection, and training standardization.

“We should view today’s conversation as a chance to listen, comprehend, and offer ideas that close gaps. It is crucial that the discussion about police and security sector reform in our nation does not end with this meeting but rather begins here.
Shettima said that “the involvement of the legislature in executive reform proposals ensures continuity and synergy” and expressed her satisfaction that the 10th House of Representatives, led by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas had taken a strong interest in the concept of state policing.

He said he was prepared to assist and carry out the important suggestions made by the House of Representatives for changes to the nation’s whole policing structure.
The inclusive approach will lead the nation toward the most effective policing system, he says. Adaptive reforms that take into account Nigeria’s diversity are the only way to achieve effective security, and they can only be accomplished by carefully examining a variety of options and methods in the Nigerian context.

We are always coming up with new plans to deal with these difficulties because this administration, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is well aware of the numerous and intricate security concerns that places,” the statement read.

IGP Dismisses, Demands NSCDC and FRSC Unite As One Police Department
However, Olukayode Egbetokun, the inspector general of police, has stated that rather than The Federal Road Safety Corps and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps should combine to form a Department under the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), thereby establishing state police.
Under the leadership of Assistant Inspector General of Police Ben Okolo, the IGP also stated that in order to comply with UN mandates, annual police recruitment has to rise by a minimum of 30,000.
In addition, he demanded that the Nigerian Police receive more financing, that officers receive effective training in contemporary policing techniques to boost effectiveness, that the Constitution be amended to provide for greater empowerment, and that the police, as the primary internal security agency, be funded.

Governors would exploit state police for political or personal advantage, undermining security and human rights, according to Egbetokun, who also added that coming Currently, state police will make ethnic tensions in the nation worse.

The Inspector General went on to say that a variety of issues working against the police force contributed to the perception that the force was failing to fulfill its obligations, which in turn fueled calls for state police.

He listed a number of the difficulties, including a lack of personnel, a lack of operational supplies, such as weapons and ammo, and surveillance gear, limited budget for training, and inadequate quarters for offices and barracks.

Most police stations and barracks built during the colonial era have not been repaired, even though the force’s strength has increased. These have had a detrimental effect on staff performance, he claimed.
To speak Similarly, Sen. Ibrahim Geidam, Minister of Police Affairs, noted that although state police are crucial for maintaining local security, they also carry the risk of being used for political purposes and violating human rights.

“Political intervention is one of the negative consequences of state police the development,” he stated. Establishing oversight and accountability is crucial in order to guarantee a decrease in interference. A successful implementation roadmap is necessary for operations to run smoothly.
John Cardinal Onaiyekan, the emeritus Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, stated at a panel discussion that state police should not be considered until the Inspector General of Police’s concerns have been resolved.

Prior to establishing state police, if we consider matters such as money and welfare, it will be fantastic, so that we may divide the current police force between the federal and state agencies when the time comes to create the state police.
Not at this point are wanting to ensure that Nigerian police comprise the state police, but regardless of what we do now, even with the greatest, there won’t be a solution if there is still corruption.”

CSOs Support IGP; Minister Is Not Sure

Several Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have backed Dr. Olukayode Egbetokun, the Inspector General of Police, in his rejection of the state police.

The CSOs stated that Nigeria is not yet prepared for it and raised concern that state police may be abused.
LEADERSHIP was contacted by the following CSOs: The Transition Monitoring Group (TMG), ”The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center (CISLAC) and Transparency International (TI).
They claimed that state governors who are behind in paying employees’ salaries cannot manage the state police with the openness and impartiality that the force requires, speaking through their leader Awwal Musa Rafsanjani.

The CSOs conveyed concern that these governors would change the focus of security management, which would increase insecurity.

It is quite evident that state governors who are unable to support democratic elections or pay salaries cannot assist in the management of state police. Rafsanjani affirmed the IGP’s position and stated, “Obviously, there will be risks involved with turning over state police to them.

instruction to counter security risks? In what ways can they administrate police that demand continual assistance if they have little money to pay classroom instructors and run healthcare facilities? How are they going to maintain their perks and income? With respect to the governors, Rafsanjani declared.

The governors and the territory’s existing situation make it impossible for the state administration to deal with insecurity. They’ll go after CSOs, human rights activists, and opposition parties. That will be their biggest security issue, not terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, or other socially hazardous groups, says Rafsanjani.

We as humanity require a functional police force with instruments, competent staff members, and regular pay money transfers, with its corporate headquarters in the Nigerian capital Abuja; each of us disagreement with the IGP on this point.
Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, the minister of police affairs, stated in his contribution that putting state police in place will increase local responsiveness, promote crime prevention, and fortify local security degree.

During his message of goodwill at the National Dialogue on State Policing in Abuja, he made this statement.
In order to establish state policing in Nigeria, the minister suggested a decentralized system in which each state oversees its own police force within a framework that guarantees coordination and collaboration with federal authorities.

He pointed out that “this paradigm would entail ensuring that transparency and accountability how mechanisms work are in place alongside hiring, instructing, and modernizing state law enforcement personnel in accordance with professional evaluations.
Furthermore, Gaidam suggested establishing an institutional and legal structure that clarifies the functions, obligations, and authority of state police forces in relation to the larger framework of national security.

“In order to combat international in nature and transnational security, this framework should include mechanisms for information sharing, collaboration, and coordination between state and federal agencies.” challenges in an efficient manner,” the minister said.
In order to discuss the implementation of state police in Nigeria, he emphasized the necessity for an extensive national discourse including stakeholders at all levels and taking into account the particular opportunities and problems presented by the nation’s complex socio-political context.

“The goal of this conversation ought to be to establish agreement on the best course of action and create a schedule for the gradual introduction of state policing, making sure that it helps to improve security, preserve the rule of law, and safeguard the rights of every citizen in the country,” Geidam continued.

Without State Police, We Cannot Handle Internal Security – Jonathan, Abdulsalam
Former President Goodluck Jonathan stated in his statement that if states do not have their own internal security agencies, the nation cannot control its internal security. police formations, pointing out that the question is how they will work within the framework of national security.

Jonathan stated that although the topic of state police is being discussed, the National Border Force should also be taken into consideration, since it will aid in combating criminal elements that avoid the monitored routes that are staffed by the Nigerian Customs Service and Nigerian Immigration Service.
In addition, he stated that since state police are a topic of discussion, changes need to be made to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the usage of police in elections.

During the time I established the 2014 national dialogue, the nation faced numerous difficulties. Numerous places had protests, and in one state, all of the local government representatives pushed for state law enforcement. Everyone was in favor of it when it was brought up.

The subject of state police cannot be disregarded; the issue of national boundary organization was also recognized. Additionally, the national coast guard issue was acknowledged. While discussing state police, we nearly forgot about INEC. The National Assembly should examine the matter of INEC polling booths and the deployment of police during elections, he stated.

General Abdulsalami Abubakar, a former head of state, wants traditional rulers to be included in the nation’s security framework since they have access to indigenous intelligence.

He went on to say that in order for the nation to advance and enjoy peace, the people must hold their government accountable and transparent. fulfill their civic obligations by abiding with the law.

A transparent, a transparent government that goes above and beyond to guarantee that its citizens can go regarding their daily lives is essential for any country seeking security and peace. lives and make a living. Having stated that once again, it is the duty of every nation’s inhabitants to maintain peace and order.

Growing up in a rural community, we were exposed to the job of village chiefs as children. They were responsible for informing the Emir of any strangers that entered their village through communication. While we’re discussing the creation of the state police, we ought to consider the function of our royal fathers,” he remarked, stressing the significance of police recruits’ caliber.

“Junkies and dropouts shouldn’t work as police officers. Police work ought to be appealing. The current form of policing is not what we desire. Before you are hired or placed, it shouldn’t matter how much you pay, Rafsanjani continued.

He claims that police officers should be trained to fight crime rather than holding political figures’ baggage.

They went on to say, “It would make an appealing job wherein honest individuals join and the problem compensation and fringe benefits are paid when due.

The National Assembly and the House do not share a unified stance on state police, according to House Speaker Hon. Abbas Tajudeen Their job is to start a conversation and bring people together.

The contentious and polarizing debates surrounding the topic under consideration are known to the House of Representatives. Let me say this clearly: neither the House nor the National Assembly has a set position. It is our responsibility to start a conversation and produce an agreement.

It is crucial that we approach every issue in talks this important with neutrality and objectivity. We have to own up to our prejudices and put them aside to do what is best for our beloved nation. The pursuit of political or personal benefit should not characterize our conversations; instead, we should be dedicated to the general good, he stated.

In a statement headed “President Tinubu calls for a regional counter-terrorism center, says Africa must address poverty and social injustice,” Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity Ajuri Ngelale disclosed Tinubu’s stance.
Tinubu’s remarks come in response to the growing ingenuity of terrorist networks and those who support them throughout Africa, particularly the Sahel.

His statement, “It must not be abandoned,” emphasized the significance of a regional standby force that has combating terrorism as part of its duty.

“I am aware of the logistical, legal, and financial challenges associated with the appropriate formation of such a force.”But with a cautious and unambiguous With a well-defined mandate that adheres to global legal norms and upholds national autonomy, this force can function as an expedient deployment mechanism, equipped to promptly address significant threats and reinforce regional security.

Such a force can be a powerful disincentive to long-term and large terrorist operations as well as to the takeover, occupation, or disturbance of important land and resources. In order to achieve this aim, we must keep moving cautiously but meaningfully forward,” stated Tinubu.

As stated in the Declaration of the 16th Extraordinary Summit of the African Union Assembly in May 2022, he also supported the creation of an inclusive Ministerial Committee on Counter-Terrorism within the African Union, referring to it as a “high priority.”

This will guarantee that a forum comprising senior government officials convenes on a regular basis to evaluate our counterterrorism initiatives and offer suggestions for future improvements,” the President stated.

He declared that by passing the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act and creating the National Counter Terrorism Center, Nigeria is strengthening its counterterrorism capabilities and rising to the task of defeating the threat.
In order to greatly improve the nation’s ability to identify, stop, and respond to terrorist threats, he clarified that the NCTC is “dedicated to coordinating and implementing counter-terrorism strategies.”

The center has developed into a venue that fosters better communication between concerned parties and forges connections within our counterterrorism plan.

Likewise, even in the face of significant personal danger, our security personnel never cease to amaze us with their bravery and commitment to combating terrorism. I appreciate all of these patriotic people’s unselfish efforts and sacrifices. both genders. He praised them, saying they were the best of the best.

By stating, “No one state can solve this problem for itself,” Tinubu further emphasized the necessity of stopping the spread of small arms and light weapons throughout the continent. We must all take consistent, coordinated action to address it.

N'Central suspends Ganduje APC

Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress was suspended on Sunday by a faction in the Ganduje Ward of the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area in Kano State. This was highlighted on Sunday when North-Central APC stakeholders urged at a news conference in Abuja that the zone be given the party presidency.

N’Central suspends Ganduje and wants APC chairmanship.

The N’Central suspends Ganduje the national chairman

The national chairman was suspended by some party leaders and Ganduje Ward Legal Advisor Haladu Gwanjo, according to a Monday story in The Vizta Daily. The ward leaders said that nine executive officers decided to suspend Ganduje because the Kano State Government had filed a $413,000 bribery prosecution against him individuals in the APC ward.

Following the action swiftly, Ganduje was ordered by the Kano State High Court to refrain from presenting himself as the national chairman of the APC on Wednesday.

However, the ward leaders distanced themselves from Ganduje’s suspension during a visit to the party’s national headquarters, stressing that they had not filed a lawsuit with the Kano State High Court.

They said that the suspension was the result of the state’s government which is governed by the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
On the other hand, the national chairman was granted an injunction by Justice A.M. Liman-presiding Federal High Court in Kano, which placed the Kano State High Court’s order on hold.

Ganduje filed an exparte motion in order to enforce the decision. his inherent right to a fair trial.

However, an opposing group within the Ganduje ward, claiming to be the official executive members, harshly criticized the chairman’s latest suspension in the wee hours of Sunday.

Speaking to reporters in Kano on behalf of 11 other executive members, the faction’s secretary, Ja’afar Ganduje, blamed Ganduje’s purported anti-party actions for the suspension.

The APC national chairman, according to the factional secretary, has not fulfilled his legal obligations to the party.

We, the authorised executive members for the Ganduje ward, have voted against the appointment of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje under a new suspension for a number of reasons,” he declared.

First, Dr. Ganduje’s membership has been suspended for inciting discord among the party at the ward level.
Ganduje’s activities against the party throughout the 2023 presidential election, that ultimately contributed to the party’s collapse in the state, is another major reason why the authentic leadership has agreed to terminate Ganduje.

In a joint statement signed by Ganduje ward Chairman Ahmed Ganduje and Secretary Usaini Jibrin, respectively, the executive members denounced the faction as forgeries.

“New officials who are frauds”

They maintained that they are the legitimate executive members of the APC and insisted that neither the national nor state bodies had held any new elections to select a new leadership.

Additionally, they charged that the Kano State administration, led by the NNPP, was planning another “bunch of non-APC members” to humiliate the country. APC chairman in the capacity of suspension.

“To the best of our knowledge, as executive members of the APC’s Ganduje ward, there was no new election of new leadership of our party,” stated a portion of the message. We are still the ward’s executive.

Through creating a fake or unregistered prepared paper on where they created a list of ineffective party leadership members, the sponsoring group couldn’t manage to carry out the assignment appropriately. To create matters worse, the group leader who made the announcement of the alleged suspension is a NNPP member who ran for council in Ganduje ward but was defeated.

We urged the party’s national body and security services to assist in apprehending and prosecuting the gang for impersonation. and making an effort to make the party disenchanted. We beg everyone in our party to ignore this kind of disinformation intended to cause division within the group.
In the meantime, a few North Central APC stakeholders have asked that the APC leadership seat be moved back to their region.

The irate APC veterans said to reporters in Abuja on Sunday that Ganduje’s purported imposition on the party was inconsiderate and a blatant disregard for the party’s zoning procedure.

The Ganduje, a politician from North-West, was chosen to succeed Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s immediate past national chairman, who is from their region, according to Muhammad Etsu, Coordinator of Concerned North-Central APC stakeholders.

In order to correct the problem and maintain Ganduje’s suspension while attempts were underway to return the seat to their zone, Etsu appealed to President Bola Tinubu and the APC National Executive Committee.
“We urge all party leaders and interested parties to endorse the North-Central aspiration,” he declared. This would fortify the party, bring all interests together, and open the door for a strong APC to solidify its position across the board. Notably, we also urge people of conscience to pressure the ruling party to abide by the High Court of Kano State’s verdict, which forbids Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from leading the APC while the interlocutory injunction is being heard and decided.

This is to prevent giving Nigerians the impression that the party is anarchic, illegal, and in violation of the constitution. For this reason, we are urging the President and our party’s NEC to act swiftly to reposition the APC and ensure an inclusive NWC remake in which the North Central Zone reclaims the position of National Chairman, which it lost following the resignation of the previous Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.”

Sunny Sylvester, an APC leader from Adamawa, supported the agitation of the North-Central stakeholders by stating that it was the proper thing to do.

Following the press conference, Sylvester informed our correspondent that certain significant zoning violations The existence of opposition parties does not preclude the incumbent party from changing.

“This position belongs to the North-Central,” he declared. They were assigned it, and given Abdullahi Adamu’s departure from the party, it is expected that they will keep the seat.

Sylvester objected when told that since Ganduje had obtained an interim court order calling for the status quo on all sides, the matter might turn into a contempt of court case.

No, Ganduje did not go to the court that issued the first exparte ruling; instead, he obtained the injunction from a court with concurrent jurisdiction. It was incorrect. The judge ordered him to stop presenting himself as the national chairman. He ought to obey.Stated differently, our position is to return this seat to the North-Central. where it should be. That’s the deal. The zone is made up of multiple states. I’m not from the Midwest. However, I believe that the proper course of action should be taken as a concerned party stakeholder from Adamawa State in the northeast.

“The same thing occurred when PDP member Iyorchia Ayu was ousted; his zone sought his seat. Everyone is aware of what comes next. However, we contend that the APC need to act honorably. We need not to emulate them,” he said.

Bala Ibrahim, the APC’s director of publicity, has a different opinion.

Ibrahim maintained that the national chairman’s persecutors were only attempting to make fun of the law and the judiciary.

People cannot act in a contrary manner when a court issues an order requiring the maintenance of the status quo ante. Not only is it blatant disrespect for the justice system, but it also shows complete disdain for the courts and, consequently, the nation’s anthem. Politics is giving way to brigandage at this point.

I suspect that a certain number of individuals are making an effort to show that they don’t have any regard for the court, notwithstanding the fact that the legal system granted them permission. Someone should confront severe consequences for this in order to bring the perpetrators to justice. The law is reasonable and applies with common sense. Now, common sense ought to tell you to “maintain status quo” until the issue at hand is resolved.
